SOCIAL GENDER EQUALITY
We embed social gender equality at the core of all our activities. In this regard, the active involvement of young people is crucial in achieving gender equality. As the Ali Yavuzçehre Foundation, we conducted an enjoyable discussion in a Gender Equality workshop with students aged 18-25 from Pamukkale University to fulfill this important mission.
With these questions, a discussion environment was created among female and male students, allowing for different perspectives on the inequalities experienced by different genders in various situations, events, and conditions. The primary objective of Gender Equality is to enable young people to actively participate in combating social gender inequality and discrimination based on gender, thus contributing to the necessary transformation in our society. Particularly due to dominant social structures and gender roles, we are aware that young people are at a higher risk of encountering these inequalities.
Within this scope, in collaboration with student organizations from Pamukkale University, we conducted a Gender Equality Workshop in 2024 where the concepts of "sex" and "gender" were thoroughly examined, and significant discussion sessions were held among the participants. In our workshop, which aimed to establish equitable relationships and included the participation of 25 students, different perspectives on the inequalities experienced by different genders in various situations, events, and conditions were presented. Through this, we increased the awareness of our participants regarding gender equality. As the Ali Yavuzçehre Foundation, we will continue our efforts to raise awareness about gender equality and support our youth in this important struggle.
