Healing with Labour
Violence against women represents violent behavior that deprives women of their bsaic human rights and limits their freedom. The labor force accretion of women who are or have been subjected to violence is lower than that of women who have not been subjected to violence.
It is not possible to achieve development, sustainability and human resources targets without improving the current situation of women. Therefore, as Ali Yavuzçehre Foundation, we trust that the full and effective participation of women in economic life is crucial for building strong economies and improving the quality of life.
It has been observed that the topmost contribution of women's guesthouses to the women they host in their lives after the guesthouse, is a sense of security and a makeshift life opportunity. It has been determined that the largest problem in women's lives after leaving the guesthouses is that they cannot be frugally independent and lack this support. As a result of this determined outcome, we at Ali Yavuzçehre Foundation implemented the Healing with Labour project.

In our "Healing with Labour" project, we established a vocational training line within the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone and provided technical training for 8 weeks to women who were subjected to violence and had no professional experience, and at the end of the training period, we employed women who were victims of violence and faced obstacles in the job seeking process, finding a job and participating in the labour market.
As Ali Yavuzçehre Foundation, we consider that multi-stakeholder partnerships are of great significance in accelerating the impact in order to successfully achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, which we adopted as a road map when creating the institutional policy. Therefore, our project aims to increase the success of the project and ensure its sustainability by collaborating with institutions that work to empower women and remove them away from an environment of violence.
In this regard, we act in common with non-governmental organizations and relevant ministries;
- Denizli İş-Kur Provincial Directorate
- Denizli Public Education Center
- ŞÖNİM (Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center)
- Denizli Women's Guesthouses
- The Ministry of Family and Social Servivces is among the institutions we work with in our Healing with Labour project.
At the conclusion of the project, every employee who received training at the Healing with Labour Workshop and wanted to be employed was offered the opportunity to work. In this context, of the women who received training were recruited.
In our project which we implemented as Ali Yavuzçehre Foundation, we pioneered the establishment of vocational training band within the Women's Guesthouse for women who were subjected to violence and inhabiting in Women's Guesthouses, in order to reach more women and increase their employment rates, and thus, the output of the project matured and allowed our goals to become widespread.
